Inspired
Word – Every scripture is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16).
Nature of
God – There is one God, all things existing through and by Him,
shown by the Word of God in three persons - Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. We also understand our Father God's nature to be unconditional
love and for all of the scriptures to be understood with this truth
in mind (Luke 3:21,22; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 John 4:8,16).
Creation
– Humanity was created by God and in the image of God (Genesis 1:27-31;
2:4-25).
New Birth
– Man fell through the sin of Adam, separating the intimate relationship
between man and God (Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 3:10-24). There is only
one way to receive forgiveness of this sin and to be redeemed back
to God, and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ (Acts 2:21; 4:12;
16:31; Romans 10:8-13; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
Saving of
the Soul – We believe after one is born again they must go through
the process of renewing their mind in which the scriptures declare
the saving of the soul (James 1:21; Hebrews 10:39). The scriptural
purpose is that one would be free from sin and its wages. We understand
many fall back into the torments of satan because of not renewing
their mind after they have been born again (1 Corinthians 9:27;
15:2).
Baptism of
the Holy Spirit – The baptism of the Holy Spirit is for every
believer on the earth, and is distinctly separate from the born-again
experience. Speaking in tongues is the initial, physical evidence
of this gift (Acts 2:1-4; 10:46).
Fellowship
– We understand that from a scriptural standpoint fellowship in
a spiritual sense is as food is to the physical body. Everyone needs
close, Christian friends that will encourage and care for them (1
John 1:3).
Gifts of
the Holy Spirit – There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit as
stated in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. These gifts are to be in operation
in the local Church today (Hebrews 13:8) for the edifying of the
Church (1 Corinthians 14:40).
Prayer
– Every believer should have a continual Word and prayer life (Joshua
1:8; 1 Timothy 4:15; 2:1-4; 1 John 5:14,15; John 16:24).
Faith
– You must have faith to please God (Hebrews 11:6). To have strong
faith one would simply act and speak in accordance with God's inspired
Word (Romans 4:17-20; Mark 2:5; Romans 10:17). Humanity has been
redeemed from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13,14). That curse
was poverty, sickness, disease and spiritual death (Deuteronomy
28:15-22, 27,29; 35:61). By exercising one's faith all the blessings
of life and godliness can be manifested in one's life (2 Peter 1:2-4).
With the above statement, we understand that the exercising of one's
faith is not the greatest of goals to achieve; and it is not a sign
of spiritual maturity. For Godliness with contentment is great gain
(1 Timothy 6:6).
Praise
– God is to be praise based upon His worthiness, not ours. So with
this truth in mind we follow every scriptural pattern of praising
God:
1.
|
Extending
the hands in praising God (Psalm 134:2).
|
| 2.
|
To bow down, kneeling before our Maker and Lord (Psalm 95:6).
|
| 3.
|
Praise Him with instruments of music (Psalm 150:3-6). |
| 4.
|
Praise Him in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs - spiritual
songs would be that of praising Him in a heavenly language (Ephesians
5:18,19; 1 Corinthians 14:15). |
| 5.
|
Praise Him in the dance (Psalm 149:3; 150:4). |
| 6.
|
Praise Him in the shout (Psalm 35:27; 132:9,16). |
Rapture
– Jesus Christ will return for His believers and take them to heaven
to live and abide with Him forever - known to us as the rapture,
or the catching away of the saints (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; 5:1-5).
Final Judgment
– Matthew 25:34-46; Revelation 21:8.
The New Heaven
and the New Earth – There will be a new heaven and a new earth
wherein dwelleth righteousness and perfection (2 Peter 3:11-13;
Revelation 21:1-4).
The True
Church – is comprised of many members (born-again believers)
that God hath set [set in the Greek: ordained, appointed] in the
Church (1 Corinthians 12:14,18). We urge all believers to make a
commitment to a local body (Church) in their area (Ephesians 1:22,23;
5:23). If a person is committed to the head of the Church, Jesus
Christ, one MUST be committed to His body, which is a local Church,
and become active (1 Corinthians 6:17; Ephesians 4:11-16).
Holy Ordinances
– Water Baptism and Holy Communion. We fully understand these ordinances
are a purely symbolic and are in no respect responsible for one's
salvation (Acts 8:35-39; 1 Corinthians 11:24-30).
Doctrines
– Every Doctrine should be in context with the Holy Scriptures and
should be so simple a child could understand plainly (Matthew 18:3).
By this Scriptural principal all cults, occults and false doctrines
are destroyed and sound doctrine is established (Matthew 18:16;
1 Corinthians 2:13; Matthew 24:35; 1 Peter 1:23; Hebrews 12:2).
